I'm excited to announce my candidacy for District Councillor for Wards 1 & 3 in the Township of Georgian Bay.

Running for council wasn't part of the plan. However, after seven years serving my condominium community in Oak Bay and Port Severn as an elected volunteer board member, and earning the trust of neighbours who elected me three times, I realized the experience I gained could help serve our communities at both the Township and District levels.

Over those years, I worked on infrastructure, budgets, governance, financial planning, community advocacy, and complex negotiations. More importantly, I learned that meaningful progress comes through preparation, persistence, respectful collaboration, and a commitment to finding practical solutions.

I believe strong leadership starts with listening, understanding different perspectives, and putting the community first.

The communities of MacTier, Port Severn, Gloucester Pool, Six Mile Lake, Go Home Lake, Gibson Lake, Minors Bay, Little Lake, and surrounding areas each have unique priorities. Effective representation means ensuring every voice is heard.

Over the coming months, I look forward to meeting residents across Wards 1 & 3, hearing your ideas, and learning about the issues that matter most to you.
