Key Priorities

Practical Priorities for Wards 1 & 3

As your District Councillor, I will focus on listening carefully, understanding the facts, and making decisions that serve residents today while protecting our communities for the future. While the needs of MacTier, Port Severn, Six Mile Lake, Gloucester Pool, Go Home Lake, and our surrounding communities may differ, every resident deserves strong representation and thoughtful leadership.

01

Protecting Taxpayer Value

Public money should be managed with care, transparency, and a long-term view. I will bring financial discipline and practical oversight to decisions affecting taxes, infrastructure, services, contracts, and future obligations.

Decisions should be based on a clear understanding of budgets, financial obligations, infrastructure costs, long-term asset requirements, and impacts on taxpayers. Good stewardship means looking beyond today's budget and understanding the long-term commitments being created on behalf of residents. Residents deserve confidence that tax dollars are being spent effectively and fairly. I will work to understand how Township and District resources are allocated, evaluate the outcomes being achieved, and advocate for decisions that deliver measurable value for residents.

02

Infrastructure & Essential Services

Roads, emergency services, waste management, and community infrastructure are fundamental responsibilities of local government. I will advocate for responsible investment, clear priorities, and practical solutions that improve the services residents depend upon every day.

03

Responsible Growth

Growth must be planned carefully. New development should respect infrastructure capacity, affordability, fiscal sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community character. I support thoughtful growth that strengthens our communities while protecting what makes them special.

04

Protecting Georgian Bay & Our Inland Lakes

Our waterways are central to our quality of life, local economy, environment, and way of life. Protecting Georgian Bay and our inland lakes requires thoughtful planning, responsible development, and a long-term commitment to stewardship.

Good environmental decisions should be guided by facts, informed by science, and balanced with the needs of our communities. Responsible environmental stewardship today helps avoid larger infrastructure, financial, and community costs in the future.

05

Open, Accountable Government

Residents deserve a Township that is open, responsive, and accountable. People should be able to understand how decisions are made, how money is spent, and whether commitments are being delivered. I support clear reporting, open communication, and ensuring commitments are followed through and outcomes are measured.

06

Transparent Representation

Residents deserve more than a vote every four years. I am committed to regular communication, plain-language reporting, and explaining decisions so residents understand what is being discussed at both the Township and District levels.

07

Evidence-Based Decision Making

Good decisions begin with preparation. Before making important decisions, I believe in reviewing the facts, asking questions, seeking community input, and understanding the long-term impacts.

Residents deserve decisions based on facts, not assumptions, and they deserve to understand why important decisions are being made.

Let's Shape the Future Together.

Whether you're a year-round resident or seasonal property owner, I'd love to hear what's important to you.
